Bringing Storytelling to all
Utah Storytelling GuildThis nonprofit organization’s goal is to nurture, foster, and promote the art form and practice of storytelling; and to serve and nurture oral storytellers.
About Us
About Our Guild
The purpose of USG is to nurture, foster, and promote the art form and practice of storytelling.
You may be a listener. You may be a storyteller. You may be both. We hope to serve you on your journey.
No matter your experience, you have a story to share with the Utah Storytelling Guild. Whether this is your first time learning about us or if you were one of the founding members in 1991, the Guild has a standing invitation to anyone and everyone, to take part in the art of storytelling, be ye listener, or teller you are welcome.
Are you looking for a way to entertain, engage, inspire, and motivate your audience?
Hire A Storyteller
Stories are a pull strategy. A pull strategy is about attraction and stories naturally draw people in causing them to listen, learn, and respond.
If a picture is worth a thousand words, then a picture created in the heart and mind by a story is worth ten thousand.

What We Do
Creating Community
The most powerful narcotic in the world is the promise of belonging. We embrace all storytellers and want to hear your stories.
Coach & Collaborate
Our guild meetings are a place to learn how to tell and to have a safe place to practice your stories.
Concerts & Festivals
We host house and library concerts and take part in festivals where you can practice or find a teller for your next event.
Commissioned Work
The Guild is a great place to look for someone to craft a story tailored for your event.
Learn to Tell
Want to learn how to tell an engaging story? Check out a chapter meeting to learn tips, tricks, and story basics from our tellers.
The well-told story can invoke discussions, and it is those discussions that can become a tool to mending broken worlds. Come learn the power of storytelling.
Find a Teller
We have worked with organizations like Better Days 2020, Story Map Utah, and countless school districts creating curriculum catered to their individual needs.
We can do that for you too. Let us know what you need and we will help you find someone to collaborate with.
