Need a Storyteller for an event
Oral storytelling is not just a tool for entertaining children. A gifted storyteller will bring the listener along on a captivating and intriguing journey. Whether the journey is mystical or closer to home, it will be memorable.
How much does it cost?
Prices are determined by individual storytellers and are usually based on years of experience, the length of the program, and whether it is a commissioned piece or a program currently in their repertoire.

What kind of programs are available?
Popular programs may include; Ghost stories, Christmas or Holiday stories, and Historical pieces, including local legends and lore. There are also personal stories we can all relate to. Don’t forget the time-honored stories from folktales, fairytales, and parables that teach us wisdom and ways of navigating the world.
Does audience size matter?
No, most of our tellers are comfortable telling to 5, 50, or 500. Larger audiences require you to provide some sound. Knowing the makeup of the audience is important for a teller. Be sure to let them know if it will be a family audience or primarily an adult audience so they can gear the maturity of their stories to match those that will be present.
What about teaching workshops?
You are in luck. Many of our tellers also teach regularly. In local schools, they teach students how to tell. They teach in Senior Centers helping people write their family stories for posterity. They also teach 60 and 90-minute classes on every subject you can think of.
